Huge news in the BlackBerry Storm world today. Operating System 5.0.0.230 has leaked out thanks for BlackBerryOS.com! Previous versions of the 5.x.x.x OS’s were quite scant lacking key features like the ability to use the camera or gasp Facebook. But a screenshot posted this morning showed that the camera is indeed operable in .230. So here’s everything you need to get up and running with the latest Storm leak….gogogogogogo!!!

I have this Operating System on my 9530 and I could not agree with you more.Previous 5.0 leaks left me wanting more. The features on this .230 build have indeed made this device satisfying.

I could not agree with you more Kara. The previous versions of 5.0 OS’s for the 9530 left me wondering when RIM was going to finally take one out of the park. I am not thinking about it anymore. This 5.0.0.230 build for the Storm is a winner in my opinion.
Sad to say that this build won’t mean much to me in a few more weeks. The new Storm 2 (Odin) will be released and this device will be added to my collection.

Thanks so much for the comments Michael! I’m a huge fan of BBOS and check the site at least daily.
I feel the same way about 5.0.0.230. The previous builds were just too lacking. I’m right there with you about the Odin though…I absolutely can’t wait!!! I love being able to see all the pics, videos and reviews on BBOS to tide me over until it’s finally released lol!
